Abstract City

On a sunny day in June, dma & I hit the streets to continue what he calls "the Seattle Series" (I can't claim it because his Seattle posts waaaaay out number mine!). Today's destination was one, though, that was towards the bottom of the 'ol list: the Seattle Public Library. Don't get me wrong, it is a cool, very cool building. Who doesn't like reflections??? But, we generally are cautious when it comes to the cliche seattle frames.

Right away I was captivated by this little water feature:

Here are a few close ups of the fountain... isn't stopping water the best?

oh yeah, and here are a few frames of the building!

If the strange form of the library isn't futuristic enough for you, check out this gem that we spotted across the street...

After more strolling I think I talked dma into a trip to Lincoln Park to "look for owls." And when I say "owls" I mean "your face." Oh, uh, I mean "flowers."

It is kind of weird editing pics from the summer while the wind is howling, the news is reporting that Snoqualmie Pass is closed due to snow & I can hear the soothing sound of rain outside my window. I am torn; to live in the moment or hold on to the sunny past. I actually prefer the moment... that must be why it is so weird to gaze at these sunny images. Interesting.
Well, thanks for taking a peek!
