So-So

And, yes, yes this is another round of pics from JUNE 2010. Yikes. I have so many wonderful, lovely pictures to catch up on! Guess its a good thing that the weather has been so crummy lately?

Speaking of crummy weather... this round of pics were taken on a gloomy summer afternoon. At first, I thought that I might skip over this round (I have already skipped over my Deception Falls pics... they were so blah). But, I realized that these pictures are like my "homework." The stuff you have to do, even though you may not want to. You see, DMA and I are out all the time taking pics. all the time. We have throughly toured the hot spots near Puget Sound & most of the sights on our to-do list are far, far away. We are constantly trying to find new places around town. Today's adventure somehow brought us to Seahurst Park. A nice place for a bbq, but a so-so place photographically.

So, you have your typical pretty pretty sky...

and a little bit of bird watching...

I guess you could photograph this little fluff ball...

But, this was the landscape we had to work with.
Really?

Really.
Now you can see how my "homework" analogy fits in... its tough work to bend your mind to find something orderly, interesting & beautiful amongst all this chaos.
Of course, I tried my old stand-by: close-up work. Oh yuckyuckyuckyuck... how boring!

Then, I tried an abstract view. This one is better, but still much too gloomy for a summer evening!

And finally, I found my frame. I like the way the breeze was gently moving the strands of seagrass and the subdued tones.
And that, dear friends, is my homework. Thanks for stopping by!
