To the Port

Finally... Finally dma and I were able to make it over to the penninsula to explore the mighty fine town of Port Townsend. I have had it on my list for awhile and wanted to be sure to head over in the winter. It can get pretty darn touristy in the summer and I wanted as few random people as possible. Saturday ended up being kind of cloudy, but we found many interesting opportunities. I haven't even posted them all!

the hotel
The red and white awning of the Palace Hotel captured my attention. I loved the white curtains and white lights in the windows, too. It was just so quaint. I was happy to have the lens baby with me, because it seemed like it fit the scene. The vibrant colors were dreamy, but I converted it to black & white, too.... just for kicks.

down the street
While dma was setting up some frames of the intersection, I drifted over to a nearby building and took a bunch of frames of the side door. I liked the backlighting and the ornamental exterior.

coffee underground
Port Townsend has a ton of little coffee shops. I only went inside one, but they all looked pretty cool from the outside. There is even a coffee shop underground. dma and I both dropped a bunch of frames here... lights, coffee, bicycles, & bricks? The possibilities seem endless.

the random
these last two frames aren't part of a set of pics, just some things that caught my eye.

Thanks for checking out this round of pics! I am almost caught up with the pics from the weekend. amazing, yes? hahaaha...
